This session will be presented by Dr. Rachel Bolton-King, Associate Professor and Courses Manager of Forensic Science, Nottingham Trent University. Rachel is a National Teaching Fellow, a Churchill Fellow and a Senior fellow HEA. She is a researcher in Forensic Ballistics, Firearms and Ammunition and an AFTE mentor committee member. She was the Editor in Chief of Science and Justice until March 2025.

Summary/Abstract
This webinar introduces the notion of practitioner-led, practice-based research in the context of forensic and crime science. Together we will explore how to take your case-related question or hypothesis and seek support to navigate your research journey. In particular, we will consider academia-practitioner collaborations and how to disseminate your work through journal publication.
